What does a Decontamination Cleaning Technician do?
You'll provide decontamination and removal procedures for contaminants such as asbestos (training and qualifications will be provided), mould, fire, flood, biohazards, methamphetamine, and lead.
Clearing houses of biohazard waste and debris.
Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, laundries, and kitchens contaminated with biohazards and/or mould.
Remove biohazards from underneath houses.
Operate commercial vacuums and drying equipment.
Remove and/or clean contaminated vinyl, carpet, and other materials.
You'll learn to read, understand, and complete on-site Site Specific Safety Plans (SSSPs) and Asbestos Removal Control Plans (ARCPs).
Work Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM (depending on the job), with some overtime and after-hours callouts on a rotational basis, including weekends. You are guaranteed a minimum of 30 paid hours per week, but typically you will work 40 hours.
