About the Role

As our Registered Electrician, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and developing electrical infrastructure across the Chatham Islands. You'll work with a supportive team in a diverse role that offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to make a real difference to our community.

Key Responsibilities

1. Installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems at residential, commercial, and industrial properties

2. Responding to customer service calls and troubleshooting electrical issues

3. Supporting the maintenance and operation of electricity generation and reticulation assets

4. Ensuring all work meets regulatory requirements and safety standards

5. Providing professional customer service to our island community

6. Contributing to the reliable provision of electricity across the Chatham Islands

Required Qualifications

1. Qualified Electrician with relevant certification

2. Experience in domestic, commercial and industrial electrical work

3. Strong problem-solving skills and technical knowledge

4. Ability to work independently in a remote location

5. Valid driver's license

6. Excellent communication and customer service skills
