We are seeking a skilled Appliance Repair Technician to join our team at The Appliance Guy.  We've been servicing our clients in Christchurch since 2007 and we're recognised for our quality appliance repair and installation services in a broad spectrum of brands and appliances, from cookers, wall ovens, ranges, cooktops, induction cookers, range hoods, washing machines, clothes dryers, dishwashers, fridges, freezers, and waste disposers.  We are a team, with a real commitment to excellence and a thorough understanding of appliances. We provide fast, efficient, and reliable solutions that save our customers time and money.

The ideal candidate will be an expert in diagnosing, servicing, and repairing various types of whiteware and appliances with precision and efficiency. You will play a critical role in ensuring the satisfaction of our residential and business clients through high-quality service and support.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair a wide range of household and commercial appliances.

• Ensure all services are completed to a high standard and within the agreed timeframe.

• Provide exceptional customer service, including maintaining a professional demeanor and offering detailed explanations of repair work.

• Safely manage installation and setup of new appliances.

• Regularly update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.

• Comply with all safety and health regulations.

Requirements:

• Proven electrical registration (EST, EAS) or certification as a Registered and Qualified Electrician.

• Extensive experience in servicing most makes and brands of whiteware, demonstrating a high level of competence.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; company van provided.
